Enjoying the weather in Texas~

So we are really enjoying the weather here in Texas. It is the end of December and we are outside walking around, pushing Kaitlyn in a stroller, Alma in shorts and both of us in short sleeves. It is so weird to think that back home it is so incredibly bitter cold.

I did notice all the Texans had sweaters and jackets on. I guess that is what happens after you have been here awhile. Temp. in the 70s is cold.

It is great to get out of the Idaho weather just at the right time. Every now and again we look at the weather there and feel sorry for those who are freezing. Scraping their cars early in the morning... just the thought makes me cold!

We are going to be here in Texas till the middle of April for an internship that Alma got with a company in Houston. I am so proud of everything he is doing. He is so amazing in so many ways, and he really takes care of our little family. We truly feel blessed~

Alma did the drive all by himself and now knows how big Texas really is.

We are enjoying the time we get to spend with my parents playing Tennis and basketball and of course putting puzzles together and playing "Clue"

Us + outside + without coats + the end of DECEMBER = HAPPY!

Here is something that every mom loves to see... She really is Daddy's little girl.

Love it!

I love dressing her up for church.

I kept asking Alma if I am going overboard with dressing her up... it is just way too fun!! She has more clothes than I do. Have to get good use of them all before she is too big for em!

Catching those little moments on camera...

****WARNING****
ALL OF THE PICTURES ON THIS POST ARE OF KAITLYN. :)

This was taken on the way to church the day we blessed Kaitlyn. I think her "Brain Squeezer" was just a little too big. It was so funny to go over to the car seat and see her just patiently sitting there like this:

Today she fell asleep in my arms and she loves to suck on her hands... she fell asleep while suckin' on her finger. It was a lot funnier in person. She was really pulling her lip down, she slept like this for about 10 mins. I just had to take a picture of it:

I feel like she is already growing so fast. Her cheeks are getting chunkier and she is starting to feel bigger already!

This is her "Baby's first Christmas" outfit! I loved it!

There is nothing like having a baby girl and getting to dress her up. This is her ready for church last Sunday:

2 1/2 WEEKS!

We Blessed Kaitlyn Diane Bates in Wells, NV last Sunday and here is a picture of her all dressed up in the dress that Alma's mom made for her. She looked so amazing! I still can't get over how beautiful this dress is! We made it to Texas and we are enjoying the humid warm weather. At least I am. It is nice to not have to bundle up Kaitlyn everywhere we go. She is doing great. She hardly ever cries. When she needs something she grunts. It is the cutest thing. She sleeps great. I wouldn't mind if it was a little better but I really can't complain. I get up in the night with her and when I look at her it all becomes worth it. She is so amazing and we love her more than anything! Here are some picture updates.

Bowling fun with old roomies~

My old roommate Brittni (left) was in town and so all the old roomies got together and celebrated her birthday which was Thurs. and had some fun bowling.

Here is all the girls! Our guys were all there too, they just weren't as excited to see each other as much as we were :)

It was so much fun. Even though I am 8 1/2 months preggo, I still wanted to bowl. I haven't for sooo long and I really like it. I didn't do too bad considering I am a little off balance. Even threw it through my legs and knocked down 8 pins.

The system wasn't recording our scores correctly ... at ALL... and the pins kept knocking down before we would even throw the ball... which, is helpful but a little frustrating after awhile. They gave us refunds since it was such a mess. Which was super sweet of them because there were twelve of us.

36 Weeks down... Temple at night... and First SNOW!

Me and Alma striking a pose... in the kitchen... again.

Me at 36 weeks and 1 day! We are plugging along... choo choo (train)

It is so nice to have the Temple up the street from our apartment. It looks so beautiful at night!

Tues night it snowed a lot... this is the view behind our house. Some snow actually stuck to the ground. It really looked beautiful. You can kind of see the Temple in the middle of the picture towards the top.

View of the snow in the front- not too much~

Am I showing yet?

So here is an update of my growing baby- around 35 weeks pregnant! I am definitely feeling pregnant and getting excited and anxious. For the first 6 months of pregnancy, I would always ask Alma if I was showing yet, it is fun to ask him now- ( cuz I am ) My oldest sister asked for the newest photo, so here you go Kenna!

Sorry the only thing on our blog is pictures of me getting bigger. Soon we will have pictures of Kaitlyn to show off (that is the name we have decided on)

Our new, yet old, apartment!

So we finally spent our Stimulus and bought a new recliner chair- It is just so hard to find something comfortable to sit in when you are 32 weeks pregnant. I love it!! It is so comfy and we got rid of a DI couch that Anna had given us. (Sorry Anna) After we got the recliner we decided to get a corner lamp that lights up the room awesome and some curtains to match our room- I love this color burgundy (thanks mom, i stole it from you) I have been wanting to get curtains forever so finally we just did it! And it wasn't as much as I thought it would be! It really makes the room feel more like a home.

This is a project that I worked on this last week. It is above our new curtains. It says,
"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be..."

HOMEMADE BREAD!

So when I went and saw my sister last week, my mom taught her to make bread. Honestly, I wanted to learn but I didn't pay any attention to her lesson. When I got home, I really wanted to try it on my own, So I did! and it worked out beautifully! I was so excited to make bread from scratch! Just had to take some photos and post them too of my bread! I love the cooling rack, it is the top shelf of my fridge! Thanks mom!
