New Piano!

Side note away from the Piano:
(They laid our foundation today!! Whoo hoo!!)
So a lady in my parents ward sent out an email about giving away their piano for free.
Since we will have the perfect spot for it in our new house and Alma really wants one, as do I, and I know Kaitlyn does too, we decided to jump on it.
Here is the piano that we recieved and we feel so grateful to be able to get it and give it a new home.
It needs to be tuned of course, which is something we will do once we are more settled and we have the money, but we are really excited to be able to have one in our home!

A little progression on the house!

So there is a little more that has happened on our house.
This picture below was taken a while back... of where we will be in our cul-de-sac. We are the lot to the left of the one story. You can see some dirt was pushed around.
The house that I was in when I took this picture was a home that was just built across the street (which is in its own cul-de-sac) so that will be fun to have two right there...
the builders let me come walk through that house since no one was in it yet and it had a lot of our features... kitchen light fixture ... some of the same lay out.

Alma and I had some paper work to sign and so while we were over by the house, we decided to walk on by. I had been there the day before late in the afternoon, so I wasnt expecting anything new, but when we had come, there was a lot more that was done.
There was rebarb put down and they are getting more ready to pour the foundation.

The picture below was taken from our "backyard"

Where the front of the house will be.

We are getting excited!!!!

OuR nEw HoMe!!!!!!

We have known that Alma had this job since last April, which gave us a lot of time to look at houses. We found this one in a great area, inbetween Almas job and my parents house... I will admit, we are closer to my parents than his job, which I do wish he was closer to work, but we have found a bus system for him to take that makes the commute a lot better... and cheaper!!
We got here December 19th really late (amosty midnight) and starting looking at re-sale homes the next day. After a lot of looking at our favorite houses, it confirmed the decision that we made while in Utah, to build a home.
We had already looked at floorplans and started the pre-approval process in Utah, so we knew what we wanted already, making the decisions and process alittle easier.

On Dec. 22, we signed a contract to build a home. The next week we went to the studio to pick out everything... carpet, countertops, cupboards, light fixtures... even toliets.
(Didn't think we would have a choice for that one)
And we are super excited about it!!
After lots of paperwork, and waiting, and getting things ready for the last month, yesterday I needed to drop the last thing off for the loan, and I swung by our lot..and there it was!!!
Getting dirt moved around and getting ready to lay the foundation.
I can't tell you how exciting that is!
I have a construction meeting tomorrow and after that, they are good to go, things are really going to start moving.
They estimate that it will be done around.... April 1st. Which is when I am due (Mar. 25th) and around the worst time due to tax season. So things are going to be a little bit crazy, but we are still getting pretty excited.
Here is an idea of what our home will look like, with a few exceptions.
All brick except the garage and sides and back of the house, also different colors.
And our floorplan will be flipped from this house. So the garage will be on the right.

Our lot before anything.
Ps. We are in a cul-da-sac!!
We are one of the last to be built on this street too which will be nice.
Getting started!!
If you look close they have the wood framing where the house will be.

And for your viewing pleasure... them moving the dirt.
Probably more exciting for us. But there you go.

Carousel is the new obsession

Kaitlyns new love is the Carousel at the mall here in town.
She even sat on my parents stairs at home and put her legs on either side of the railing and pretended to ride the carousel.
She had us all ride too... too bad I didn't get a picture of that.
She especially loves to ride the Pig, not sure why.
Here she is with her Daddy.

Earlier in the week, I met up with some old High School friends and we went to the mall and rode the horses (aka Pig) and had lunch.
It was so fun to catch up.
I go
I got to ride too!
She does so well hanging on all by herself! She loves it!

Janelle and her girls!

So happy!

Here is me a few weeks ago... at 28 weeks and 2 days.
Now I am 30 weeks and 2 days.
I will have to post a more recent photo.

EnJoYiNg ThE tExAs WeAtHeR!

We are really taking advantage of this awesome weather! It was 69 today!!!
Last week, before Alma headed off to training, we went to the Park down the street from my parents house.
They had an awesome rock wall, Kaitlyn and Alma climbed up it!

She loved swinging

And she is getting pampered and spoiled by Grandma...

But she does have to pay her dues too...

This was on New Years Eve... she stayed up till 11pm (had a late nap) and ate yummy cupcakes!
And toasted Bubbly with the Adults!!

This was Alma at the airport getting ready to head to Dallas for Training.
He has been there since Monday and comes back tomorrow!!!
We miss him a ton and can't wait for him to come home... even if he will be gone a lot because of Tax season, it is better than him being out of town.
We are so proud of him and all that he has accomplished!

This was taken today, we walked to the Duck Pond down the street from my moms house (twice) and watched the ducks and a beautiful fountain in the lake. She loved it and I loved that we didn't have to take Jackets!!

After a long day of running errands with my and Grandma, she fell asleep with her sucker in her mouth... It was a little hard to get it out of her mouth... she was really holding on to that thing~
