Our week at Grandma N Grandpa Bates

Since we live so far away from Alma’s Parents we were really looking forward to spending some one on one time with his Parents. We got to stay a whole week with them and get them all to ourselves. It was seriously the best week.

The girls had fun getting teased by Grandpa… for the most part and talked off Grandmas ear.

We took things easy and just enjoyed being together. I am so grateful for all that they did for us that week.

We had fun going to the Park.

Grandma read Lots and Lots and Lots and Lots to the girls, mostly Kaitlyn. She was so sweet to just keep reading to her as many books as she wanted.

 

Drove up to the Mountains and enjoyed a picnic on the lake and some swimming

Their town had a huge Car Show so we enjoyed that

 

Alma had his 10 year High School Reunion!

And then we ended the week with a Parade of all the Cars at the Car show. We got TONS of Candy. The girls loved it.

   

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Bates~ We had such a wonderful time and miss you so much! Thank you again for everything!

Alma’s Family Reunion

 

After a quick trip in Utah we headed over to Nevada to attend Almas Family Reunion.

Of course we had to stop at the Salt Flats and take a picture! Looks so cool! Like snow!

Then we got to Grandma and Grandpa Bates! Grandpa got out the hose and they played in the water as soon as we got there! SO MUCH FUN!

 

There was games and crafts and more games and Tree houses and cousins and yummy food and loads of fun!

  

Whitney was terrified of Dogs but after Aunt Pennys’ Dogs played and were super nice to her all she did all weekend was follow them around trying to pet them.

And of course the TRADITIONAL HOME RUN DERBY!

Our 3 week Vacation (broken down in many posts)

So we recently went on a 3 week vacation and I decided to take a billion photos. I have been meaning to post about it but things have been so crazy and I have like 1000 photos to go through (not really more like 800 to go through) so it has taken me awhile to get around to doing this.

So I understand if no one looks at all of this but I am planning to make my blog into a book and so I am including a lot of photos and it is more for me… so I apologize now for the photo overload.

It was a great trip. We flew into Utah saw some friends and family, drove to Nevada and saw all of Alma's Family and then we drove to Washington and saw all of my family. It was a great 3 weeks and we are so thankful to everyone that let us stay with them and put up with us. It was a great time and we really enjoyed seeing everyone in our immediate families. Alma had all 3 weeks off and we enjoyed it so much!

First things first.

We went to Utah and caught up with 2 of Alma's Best Buds from College and their wives. We did a BBQ and it was so great to see those guys together again.
