sNoW & Birthday Part II

So I decided that I love the snow... If I dont have to go out in it. When I get to be in my apartment and look out my window I love it. But I do hate having to go out and drive in it.
At our apartment now in Provo, we have a huge window in our front room and this is our view. It is so beautiful... and Private! with all the trees. Especially since our whole ward of apartments all face towards eachother in a square.
So here are some pictures of the snow we got in the last 2 days... from out my balcony and window.

This picture is on our balcony... looking to the right:

This is our view straight out of our window:

Looking down at the ground... we are on the 3rd floor...

And here is Kate eating Spaghetti:
When I waited tables I hated when kids got spaghetti, such a mess to clean... but it is fun to give to your own kid!

No... this picture is not Kaitlyn... it is her friend Makenzie! This last Saturday we had the pleasure of watching her so her parents could have a hott date~ She was so happy under the table. Such a good little girl!

At Kaitlyns b-day we didnt get the chance to really let her go out a cupcake... so the next day we did. Here are the pictures of it:

"Whats this all about?"

"I think I like this...."

"Yup... I liked it and mmmmmm....mmmm. Lets have b-days everyday!"

And here is a little video if it too...

The life of a ONE year old!

Kaitlyn turned ONE!
We sure do love this little girl! She is so much fun to be with and brings so much light to our day.
There are a bunch of random pictures of her that I have taken the last couple weeks and then pictures of her little birthday party last night.
So enjoy! Sorry there is a lot~

Kaitlyn loves to play in our closet. I think mainly because it is so high up like a stage. Here is a picture of her climbing up into the closet.
Standing in our closet

I love that she is always wanting to get up there. See the world from a new view!

We bought her a big girl car seat now that she is older. I am really excited about putting it in our car and her being forward facing. We have just had it chillin' in our aparment and she loves playing on it. Sitting and standing in it. It is a lot easier to get her in and out of it than her newborn one.

Since her Birthday was yesterday I had her help with the whole process of making her cupcakes for her party. I thought maybe if she watched me make them she would want to eat them more when it came time to. Which I think really worked!

Love that BIG smile!

She was spoiled all day long.
She loved tasting the homemade frosting!

Here she is at her b-day party!
after she ate a cupcake!
Her nose has had a couple of rough falls the last couple of days and also at the party, so please excuse her little red nose...
Shannon and Hillary came!!! It was so great to have them there along with my good friend Morgan and her ADORABLE little boy Ethan!!!
Eating her cupcake!
We were setting up her shopping cart!
Branson and Zach were there! So glad my sister Kacey could come! And my brother came down also! so great to have family and friends there!

Pushing her new shopping cart!

Daddy helping her open presents...

(she didnt really get that into it)

Me showing her how to open presents

...& My friend Heather from my apartment complex was there! So glad her and Mackenzie could make it!
And the Video of us singing to her on her Birthday! Thanks to all those near and far... who thought of us on her special day....

Here is a little video of her eating off the beaters... Dont worry I unplugged the kitchen aid... Just in case you were wondering :)

Random Post

I have not posted these pictures for a few weeks, but I have been meaning to so here we go.

We had the chance to go on a date and so we decided since Alma had never hiked the Y that we would do that. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect. It was so much fun to just be outside together and talk.

At the top of the Y

Sitting on the Y

I love this picture of Alma sitting on a rock overlooking the view.

So, as most of you know... Kaitlyn is turning 1 on Dec 3rd!! (Tomorrow) It is hard not to think about what we were doing a year ago... So excited to have our little girl turn 1 year old.

Here are some pictures of her a year ago.
Reminiscing.

Less than 24 hours old.

Right after she was born.

And of course, a picture of her now!!

We love you Kaitlyn and we can't believe that you are already 1!!! We can't imagine our lives without you.

Dance Dance!

I love hanging out with Kaitlyn all day. She loves listening to music and dancing. I have noticed whenever I even sing without any music she stops what she is doing and dances. Here are so videos of her dancing! I love it and can't get enough of this girl!

I love how she is just eating Goldfish crackers and dancing while holding a cell phone~such a girl.

Fireflies by Owl City is one of her FAVORITE songs. Whenever she plays it she gets excited!

And of course, gotta listen to Miley Cyrus' new song!

(Please excuse my singing at the end

I was even singing the wrong words...)

"Everyone should have a pet Baby"

Seriously, Having a kid is so much fun! My mom always says, "Everyone should have a pet baby" and I agree! Life is so fun when you have a child!
I am loving the age that Kaitlyn is at right now. 11 months! She constantly keeps me on my toes and entertains us.
Last week, she cut her 1st tooth, I know, 11 months is old for the 1st tooth, but she also had a fever the 1st part of the week. Since she has been feeling a little bit better, she has a new love for life. You know how it is after you are sick and then you get better. You appreciate your health.
Unfortunately, me and Alma got sick the day after she got better with something awful. And even though we feel like we can barely move, Kaitlyn does a good job at keeping us entertained.
She LoVeS to put things around her head. Clothes, hand towels, cameras, diaper bags
...you name it!
She put this dress on all by herself, and has done it many times since, along with the camera around her head.
(Video at bottom of post)

Dress she put on all by herself.

Loves playing with bowls and spoons!

And of course, carrying moms Diaper bag/Purse.
One of her favorites.

This video cracks me up. She always tries to put things around her head, and I didn't think it wouldn fit, but boy did she prove me wrong. She loves having things on her head. Silly girl!

She walked around the house with the camera on her head FOREVER! It was just swinging in front of her face.
And I love this Big Smile she just started doing. Scrunching her whole face with the biggest smile she can make.
( I have a picture of me when I was little with this same smile)

Yeah.... My daughter Rocks!

Fun Filled Halloween Week/weekend

We have had a great week, lots of fun with family and friends.
On Halloween we went and got Carmel Apples at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, the strawberry cheesecake flavor, then we went to Jump on it, then Trunk or Treating, and then we went and dressed up like burritos (wrapped ourselves in Foil) and each got Free Chipotle Burritos! and then played games with friends. It was an awesome day!

Here is Kaitlyn in her halloween costume being an angel.

Our close friends Todd and Nicki from Idaho came to visit! It was so awesome to meet their son Everett for the 1st time! Isn't he Perfect!?

We went to Jump on it a place lined with Tramps... even on the walls!
This picture of Alma is great! Really looks like he is flying!

Family shots at 'Jump on it'

So much fun!!

Last Tuesday was a play group Halloween Party in our ward. It was so fun to see all the Costumes!

Group Picture

We love Carving Pumpkins for Halloween... here is Alma's Mummy.

And my flying Bat!

(Kate ate goldfish crackers and watched)

Angel Shot!

And last but not least, I turned my back for a second only to find Kate in the pantry surrounded by chocolate chips and drooling chocolate. This is not the 1st time this has happened, but I did decided to take a picture!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend!
